Pence bars coronavirus task force members from appearing on CNN

Mike Pence’s office has barred members of the coronavirus task force from appearing on CNN for the past week until the news network agrees to air the White House’s daily briefings in their entirety. ’When you guys cover the briefings with the health officials then you can expect them back on your air,’ a Pence spokesperson told CNN. CNN often airs only the first portion of the daily briefings live

Of course all briefings should be aired in full, this allows full context. Why is this even a question?

Damned Trump! Can't believe he insists all the details be made public. What if viewers accidentally form their own conclusions?

Don’t need them, don’t trust them. If I had a child that can’t be trusted I would not consider what they had to say as being needed or wanted. Until you tell the child that their behavior will not be tolerated they will continue to behave the same way since you agreed to their terms. Don’t stand there with people dying needlessly and tell me there is nothing you can do. SHUT THEM DOWN!

What did CNN expect? This reads very much like they wanted to have their cake and eat it too.

Maybe they should stop lying during the briefings and giving false information then. Every day Trump comes out and says we are doing more testing than anyone in the world. NOT PER CAPITA, We are ranked 43rd for testing PER CAPITA. Here is his actual words and its 100% false. "We're now conducting well over 100,000 coronavirus tests per day," Trump said. "It's over 100,000 tests a day. And these are accurate tests, and they're moving rapidly, which is more than any other country in the world, both in terms of the raw number and also on a per capita basis, the most."

Wait the government can dictate on what terms and which officials appear in front of which press? No that doesn't sound at all like state media or playing fast and loose with the 1st Amendment 🙄

That's right... Like it or not n like him or not... Got no business censoring those giving health data during briefings just so u can turn the entire briefing into snippets of news propaganda... I watch em for the health info.. Not the stump speek

Rachel Maddow said it best: cut out Trump's non-medical contributions and give people what concerns them, truthfully!

So CNN can't book some guests. So what? I'm sure they can't book lots of guests given their track record of selective editing and "technical difficulties" when someone says something counter to the narrative.

We the people don't need to hear the rantings and ravings of a "lunatic leader!" We only want to hear from those who are of sound mind, and factual statements; we don't need to hear bullying, insults, ans braggings, the people are scared enough without having to listen to outlandish lies!

Remember when Fauci was at the podium and asked about chloroquine and Trump stepped forward and boxed him out from answering, LITERALLY silencing the DOCTOR from answering a medical question, when Trump who is NOT a doctor spent 15 minutes giving his medical opinion 🤦‍♂️ this administration has no room to make demands.

No one should air those fluff and puff, corporate sponsor, propaganda quasi briefing/campaign rally pitch presentations.
