Some abortions may proceed in Texas during pandemic, court rules

A judge on Thursday ruled that some abortions can continue in Texas while the state battles the COVID-19 pandemic. District Judge Lee Yeakel said officials violated the Constitution by classifying abortion providers as covered by a state order that required postponement. Yeakel’s ruling would allow abortion providers to proceed with abortions for women who risk meeting the cutoff at 22 weeks.

I don't know that a judge can directly countermand a higher precedent like that. Not sure if this injunction is legally sound.
