Michael Avenatti temporarily released from jail over coronavirus concerns

Celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti, who was convicted of trying to extort over $20M from Nike, was released from a federal jail in NYC for 90 days due to concerns over the coronavirus. US District Judge James Selna said Avenatti, who represented adult film actress Stormy Daniels in lawsuits against Trump, may stay at a friend’s home during the period and wear an electronic monitoring bracelet.
