Virginia signs LGBT anti-discrimination act into law

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam signed a bill into law Friday that would expand non-discrimination protections on public employment, housing and credit on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or race. The bill goes into effect on July 1. The law, reportedly, makes Virginia the first state to enact ’comprehensive protections’ for the LGBT community.

Three different articles on three different laws at time of posting this comment. I'll also add that signing a pro-aborttion bill on Good Friday seems to be in incredibly bad taste.

A clear sign that he wants to replace the Christian religion with the religion of Leftism!

Lets shut down to save old folks but stay open to abort the young ones. What a screwed up society

Everytime I see this man's face I just see red. This is ridiculous, passing these laws now when he knows people can't voice their opinions on it shouldn't be allowed. Whatever the people of Virginia decide to do to him after this is too good for him.

Typical Leftist idea that all rights come from the government, which can also take them away. Totally wrong as all rights are inherent and intrinsic because of the nature of humanity; these rights exist at all ages and times of a person's life because they are a person, irrespective of what they look like or act. I disagree with this legislation because it seeks to enforce the idea that the government can arbitrarily grant or remove rights from categories of people at any time. This is 🐂💩.

If it would just be anti-discrimination it would be fine but I am sure there is more to it

All of these newly signed laws merely expand government power using exceptionally questionable reasoning.
