70 people in San Francisco homeless shelter contract coronavirus

San Francisco’s mayor has announced a major outbreak at homeless shelter in California as 70 people tested positive for the coronavirus comprising of 68 residents and two shelter staff. This news has angered homeless advocates & members of the Board of Supervisors who have been repeatedly pleading with her administration to swiftly move homeless people from streets & shelters in empty hotel rooms.

So your solution is to create a huge expense that no one can handle not even California taxpayers. Then what? These people have in all likelihood already been exposed and given the transitory nature of homeless shelters so has every other shelter. Monitoring them all at the shelter and hospitalization if necessary but forcing them in hotels where they just wonder off isn't going to help these people.
