China approves two experimental COVID-19 vaccines to enter clinical trials

China has approved early-stage human tests for two experimental vaccines to combat the COVID-19. The vaccines are being developed by a Beijing-based unit of Sinovac Biotech, and by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, an affiliate of a state-owned company. In March, China gave the green-light for another clinical trial for a vaccine candidate developed by a military-backed entity.
