One in nine mortgage borrowers in UK on payment break

One in nine home loans in the UK are on a mortgage holiday because of measures to support those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. UK Finance said lenders had agreed to give repayment breaks to more than 1.2 million mortgage borrowers. For the average mortgage holder, the break amounts to £260 a month of suspended interest payments.
