US airline industry to receive $25bn coronavirus bailout package

US airlines have tentatively agreed for $25bn govt aid to pay workers & avoid massive layoffs on backdrop of coronavirus pandemic. The aid is going to be a mix of cash & loans, & govt getting warrants to be converted into small ownership stakes in airlines. Ten airlines, including Delta, American, United & Southwest, have agreed to the plan after objecting to some of Treasury Department’s demands.

this is all bs these businesses would be fine if the gov. hadn't been doing all this to begin with, or at least the bail out/ assistance would be less.
