CNBC reports Amazon has notified Amazon Associates that it’s slashing commissions starting April 21. Under the program, affiliates link to Amazon.com in exchange for a percentage of sales, For many products payments are being cut in half or even less. For example, home improvement commissions fell from 8% to 3%, groceries is dropping from 5% to 1%. News outlets, among others, rely on this program.

Amazon using its monopoly power to squeeze the rest of the market. Also hurting the news industry (competitors of the Washington Post). Perhaps we need to renew anti-trust policy.
