Megadrought emerging in western US could be the worst in 1,200 years

The western US stands to face the worst drought in nearly 1,200 years, fueled in part by human-caused climate change, a study published Thursday suggests. The nearly-20-year megadroughts threatens nine US states from Oregon and Montana down through California, New Mexico and part of northern Mexico. ’We’re on the same trajectory as the worst prehistoric droughts’, said the study lead author.

Because of Climate Change... Well thanks for letting me know that this mega drought is just a hoax fabricated by the Global Alarmist and their Cult.

California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Etc are desert environments to begin with. Why is anyone surprised that it's not really raining there?

There is hardly any polllution left, please stop with the man made climate change nonsense. The world naturally changes and has been doing so for longer that we have been around. It will continue to do so long after we are gone.

Yeah, those of us paying attention pretty much knew this was coming. Eventually much of the western US will be unlivable due to lack of water. Basically if you live out there don't invest in real estate.

Just remember their predictions are based on models... which may be based on science, but are not scientific (the do not produce empirical data). Models are just a best guess as we have seen repeatedly in the last few weeks. Models are useful, mainly for trying concepts out, but should not be taken as a good representation of the future. As G. Box wrote... "Essentially, all models are wrong, but some are useful." --- Box, George E. P.; Norman R. Draper (1987). Empirical Model-Building and Response Surfaces, p. 424, Wiley. ISBN 0471810339.

So they’re saying that a drought in some of the driest places in the country is caused by humanity? Cali’s has water problems since people have tried settling there. It doesn’t help that they’ve put millions of people into cities and cranked up demands drastically.

So this is the "going to kill everyone" article, next month will be "increased hurricanes do to global warming" then "increased meteors due to climate change" blah blah blah. I hear Al Gore tell me 20 years ago we were all going to die from climate change, and we're all still here.

"Megadrought could be the worst in 1200 years" Or, Megadrought could be the wettest in 1200 years.
