Airlines withholding $10B in cash from customers, lawmakers say

As per a report, US airlines are estimated to be sitting on more than $10 billion in travel vouchers that should have been cash refunds from canceled flights. Sens. Ed Markey, Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal said that with many airlines cancelling between 60% and 80% of their flights, passengers on those flights are entitled to full refunds.

And we handed out how much on stimulus money to the airlines. No more bailouts let these corporate welfare queens fall. Others will just have to step in. I know a lot of this has to do with the imposed government shutdown but they would have been asking for a handout in a year or two anyway.
