Amazon using thermal cameras to check employee temperatures

Amazon has confirmed using thermal cameras at some warehouses to ease the process to screen employees fevers, which may be indicative of the new coronavirus. This action is following criticism that it wasn’t doing enough. Whole Foods is also expected to replace thermometer checks with cameras at its stores.

Temperature is meaningless for Covid, you are most contagious while still asymptomatic. If you have a temperature you have already spread it. I thought amazon was smarter.

Somehow this is just another step towards robotic security on private property. Or perhaps the next one will check your vitals on the workplace. For Corporate records yes yes
