Trump warns China it could face consequences for COVID-19 outbreak

During the daily coronavirus task force briefing at the White House on Sat Apr 18, President Donald Trump warned China that if it was ’knowingly responsible’ for the pandemic, ’then sure there should be consequences’. He made a distinction between a mistake and an alleged deliberate action.

Woah look at this 6 year grant that was awarded by our country. I wonder who’s behind this one. Maybe this has something to do with democrats’ desperate defense of China and claims that there’s no way it could have started in a certain lab. https://projectreporter.nih.gov/project_info_history.cfm?aid=9819304&icde=49508764

Make a big talk and act a reasonable measure that is much needed. It's much better than leftists method of foolishly worrying about their hurt feelings, while they pillage your nation and resources away laughing.

Good, they should be held responsible for creating this mess. China has been doing shady shit for decades. Not to mention the horrible human rights abuses that happen there. It's kind of crazy that anyone would defend them at this point.

The only thing that could possibly save China at all is for them to admit they’re mistake, apologize, then start making their operations as transparent as possible (that means honesty, and allowing foreign observers in). Their still going to take a hit but this is the only way I see them recovering any kind of global trust (in both the economic, and political sense).

An experiment that created a hybrid version of a bat coronavirus — one related to the virus that causes SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) — has triggered renewed debate over whether engineering lab variants of viruses with possible pandemic potential is worth the risks. a virologist at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, points out that the researchers have created a novel virus that “grows remarkably well” in human cells. “If the virus escaped, nobody could predict the trajectory,” he says.
