NASA announces plan to collect Mars rocks and bring them to Earth

Nature magazine reports on NASA’s on ambitious plan to collect samples from Mars and return them to Earth. Perseverance, which will launch this summer, will collect and analyze samples and then seal them. Two spacecraft will launch in 2026, one to land on Mars and pick up the samples. It will then take off from Mars and rendezvous with the other craft which will return to Earth.
