Maryland’s Governor Hogan says they do not have enough tests to reopen

On Sunday, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan called the president’s claims that testing capacity for COVID-19 is sufficient levels to reopen parts of the country ’absolutely false’ and that it is not helpful to encourage people to protest their state’s lockdown orders. Speaking on CNN Hogan said the shortage of testing kits for COVID-19 remains the biggest problem and prevents Maryland from reopening.

We certainly do not have enough testing. Until we do it will be extremely difficult to ease up on the shelter in place orders. Our government has failed us as we are two thirds into April already and still cannot test enough people. South Korea is already lessening their restrictions and they encountered their first case the same day we did.

Just like the Patriot Act and all the other fun "temporary" security measures that the government pushes on us "for our own safety". 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I appreciate the honesty from the governer. I imagine this issues is facing many states and I am curious to see how many admit to having this issue.
