House expected to vote on changing rules to allow remote voting

The House is expected to vote this week on changing its rules to allow members to vote remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced Monday that a vote is planned on proxy voting, which would allow an absent member to authorize another member physically present to cast a vote on his or her behalf.
