Delta posts loss for Q1; Q2 revenue guidance equally bleak

Delta Air Lines reported its Q1 loss in nine years and forecasted a 90% decline in Q2 revenue owing to Covid-19 crisis. Net loss stood at $534mn in Q1, or a $0.84 loss per share, Vs $730mn net profit a year ago. Total operating revenues fell 18% to $8.59bn, with the company burning $100mn per day at the end of March as it continued to operate earlier scheduled flights that were almost empty.
