Disney heir criticises company’s $1.5bn bonuses as theme park staff laid off

Disney heir Abigail Disney has slammed the Hollywood giant for furloughing more than 100,000 workers while it still expects to pay out executive bonuses and dividends, which have totaled $1.5 billion in the past. The American filmmaker said she had been ’holding her tongue’ due to the severity of the coronavirus pandemic but felt now was the time to speak out.

It's "business-as-usual" here in the United Corporations of America - the rich get richer and everyone else watches TV.

The executives should give up as much bonus as possible. The $1.5bn bonuses is in incentives as well which could include stocks and bonds they can't give up in any way for several years.

Disney has trully become a vile company. They are dead set on destroying the IPs we grew to love and keep making terrible business decisions regarding their parks and staff. I could only wish this propaganda outlet to go bankrupt
