Las Vegas mayor doubles down on push to reopen casinos

Las Vegas mayor Goodman doubled down on her push to reopen the city’s casinos and hotels amid COVID-19. Goodman added, though, that the responsibility would fall on businesses to ensure this was done in a safe manner. ’That’s up to them to figure out. I don’t own a casino’, Goodman said. Goodman has also signaled interest in offering the city become a control group without social distancing.

Even if they’d open up, I’d doubt many would take the risk, seeing as it’s an unnecessary gamble.

Kind of hard to imagine craps/blackjack/roulette tables with much in the way of social distancing happening. Plus everyone touching same chips and cards. Slots and keno might be "safe."
