Doctor says he was sacked from federal post after questioning hydroxychloroquine

A top U.S. health official who was helping lead efforts to find a coronavirus vaccine said he was removed from his post because he insisted on limiting the use of a drug President Donald Trump has pushed as a Covid-19 treatment despite little clinical evidence it works. The drugs Trump has touted, hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine, ’clearly lack scientific merit,’ Bright said in a statement.

"I rightly resisted efforts to provide an unproven drug on demand to the American public." This is why socialised healthcare is terrible, some bureaucrat can stop you getting drugs, or some president can push them on you. Private healthcare is healthcare for all.

Everyone calm down, according to a story by Politico, the good Doctor had been in trouble with peers and superiors for OVER a year before the kerfuffle about hydroxychloriquine. Additionally, he was moved to a different position. It seems, if the Politico story is correct, that he believed that he had more power and control than provided by his position description. Also consider this... a recent government report stated that there were no benefits to using hydroxychloriquine and the people that wrote the report weren't fired or moved🤔 So, personally I think the good Doctor and some news sources are trying to make him look like a martyr. https///

Hydroxichloroquine has been approved for malaria for over 80 years. We know it's safe, so even if it isnt effective against coronavirus, it cant hurt. Theres no reason to ban it.

hydroxychloroquine is generic, looks like drug companies are profitable recommendations. Like vaccines.
