US new home sales fall sharply in March

Sales of new US single-family homes dropped by the most in more than 6-1/2 years in March. New home sales fell 15.4% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 627,000 units last month. The percentage decline was the largest since July 2013. February’s sales pace was revised down to 741,000 units.

They drop like a brick hot by a wrecking ball because people trying to sell become desperate. New York State made realtors none essential and forbid them from going to closings nullifying some sale contracts. Those house went back up in a market where no one was shopping for a house. Then you start dropping the price to try and draw anyone so you can stop making mortgage payments on a house you aren't living in. (Not personal at all)
