Syrian torture trial begins in Germany

Anwar Raslan, the senior military official of Syrian leader, Bashar al-Assada, has been in a German jail since he was arrested in Berlin in mid-Feb last year. German prosecutors will try to prove his involvement in state-sanctioned, systematic torture and murder. The process is expected to take up to two years. Eyad al-Gharib, who supposedly worked under colonel Raslan, will also be on trial.

Germany has no jurisdiction over what happens in Syria. He should be tried in the international court in The Hague. I bet they want to keep the truth coming out about the chemical attacks that were done by the rebels and not the Assad regime.
