UN chief warns world is facing a bigger threat than coronavirus

UN chief Antonio Guterres urged the governments to use their responses to deal with the pandemic to tackle the ’even deeper emergency’ of climate change and called for the huge amounts of money that will be spent on recovery to deliver new businesses through a clean, green transition. ’Public funds should...flow to sustainable sectors and projects that help the environment and the climate.’

I mean, they're not wrong. The United States alone single-handedly feeds something like 100 of the poorest nations themselves. Africans who do not know how to grow food, let alone build a civilization, that just keep breeding on our handouts. Those handouts get disrupted by a shutdown in the international supply chain and things will get very bad. For them. ... this is more of a correction than a crisis, though. You're not supposed to feed the animals for a reason. You create an artificially large population that cannot sustain itself. Mass starvation is the result of our aid programs. Maybe they should just eat the bugs and eat their own dead like the media keeps telling white nations they need to get used to doing? You know... because their food is going to be needed to feed the population growth leading to over a billion Africans while their own populations dwindle.

This is pretty serious; lack of sufficient internally grown food is a problem in many Asian nations as well as Africa and elsewhere. If the food situation is not brought under control soon it will lead to conflict.
