U.S. aid for Greenland prompts praise and suspicion from some in Denmark

The U.S. offered S12 million in aid to Greenland, via its economic development arm USAID. This spurred praise and suspicion from politicians in Denmark because of Trump’s interest last year in acquiring the island from Denmark. Greenland is rich in resources and would strengthen U.S. claims in the Arctic. Politicians in Denmark questioned why the aid was given to Greenland rather than to Denmark.

How come you keep altering people’s titles and summary’s there Skeptic? I thought this app wasn’t supposed to censure? You tring to bring a bit of US corporate media to Newsvoice? This app had promise but people like you are going to ruin it. May as well just read CNN and FOX.

@Skeptic: Maybe you didn’t care for the geographic realities I pointed out? Those being that when it comes to Arctic coast lines Canada has 185,000KM, Russia 25,000KM and the USA 1,700KM. Pretty clear why Arctic Nations don’t care much for the US trying to bully in. They’ve got as much say as that 1,700km gives them.

This is what Trump does, he "plays" one against another; it's his common denominator on every thing.

The pettiness of the president, once again on full display. I can't wait to celebrate on January 21, 2021 being that it will be the day americas one term mistake leaves the White House for the last time, never to return again.
