Disinfectant statement issued in sarcasm, says Trump

United States President Donald Trump has recently come under fire for having suggested that the use of disinfectant inside people’s bodies could be one way of fighting the novel coronavirus and killing the virus. Clarifying his comments, President Trump said that he was being sarcastic when he made these statements.

Now this, this I can't defend, nor will I. There was no need to try to cover up what he asked of his advisors by claiming it was sarcasm. You can do better, Mr. President.

Probably full of it on that one. The basic idea of disinfecting your insides would be cool, if we didn't need all the bacteria in our guts. What he said wasn't meant as a suggestion for people to actively do, but it was a stupid thing to say (or how he said it was dumb, maybe both). If people actually drink dissenfectant they deserve Darwin awards.
