Miami has longest run without a homicide since 1957

Miami, Florida, has recorded no homicides for seven weeks for the first time since 1957. There were also no homicides during a six-week period for the first time since 1960. Miami police also noted a decline in other crimes. The department said the decrease has extended to domestic violence calls. Cops, however, fear that incidents of domestic violence and child abuse may be underreported.
