Dozens of protesters arrested in Berlin

German police arrested dozens of protesters in Berlin on Saturday for flouting the COVID-19 lockdown measures. About 1,000 people turned out for the rally. The protest was unauthorized as a result of emergency rules banning gatherings of more than 20 people. The protest organizers’ website called for ’an end to the state of emergency’.

I live in the Czech republic and until a few days ago we had a policy that only 2 people could gather outside, this was later ruled "against the law", because the lawmakers were maybe following emergency laws put in place as the result of the pandemic and I'm saying maybe, because even I don't understand the particular situation. And now people could gather outside in groups of 10. But it doesn't affect the situation at all, because even before the change families with children and groups of young people would be playing on public playgrounds and just walking in the streets like nothing is happening. Though, in my city there isn't many infected, but it was one of the first places in my country the infections started to spread. My point is that people are stupid and/or don't care about the pandemic, most people just don't realize how serious this pandemic is. And for them to be marching on the street protesting the lockdown is just suicidal.
