Battle for control of the Senate will be a ’dog fight’, warns McConnell

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell warned on Monday that the battle for control of the Senate in the November election will be a ’dogfight’. Republicans are defending 23 seats, compared with 12 for Democrats. ’I think it’s a tough fight. We don’t have a lock on it, nor do they. It’s going to be a fight to the finish.’, McConnell said.

4 years of Dems doing nothing but treading water and dog paddling in circles around Russia/Ukraine? Republican supermajority seems more likely.

Republicans would win easily if it was only Americans (who were alive) and voted only one time.

Like how, mastiffs versus poddles? Dems really aren't united to put much of a fight and the ones that do win there districts are probably A) areas so blue of course a Demo would when, or B) perhaps those who still have moderate policies though with trends they may not stay Dems for long

Or maybe we can stop looking at our politicians belonging to team red or team blue. These people are public servants and both sides need to start doing their job. If they don't serve America, then they need to be replaced no matter which party. The way McConnell frames it illustrates that he is not about working together, but railroading any opposition to his political ideology. If I had it my way most Dems and Reps would be out of a job, as both parties are at large beholden to donors and not representing their districts. This is not an attack on the left / right / moderate or whoever. The only way forward is working together and making making compromises to meet somewhere in the middle.

Simple if TRUMP wins then he has close to super majority in Senate and may pick up house or at least make it very close. If creepy Joe wins Boogaloo 2 is right around the corner so I'd dosen't matter

voting green down the ticket. I'm tired of red vs blue. this isn't sport. America needs a Congress that will check whoever is president, not blindly follow party over people.

What's it matter? Republitards spend just as much money, spread just as much fear and propaganda and take just as much lobbyist money for ridiculous freedom killing regulations. Doesn't matter who runs house or senate. Best we can hope for at this point is more law biding judges to check these morons.

I've said it weeks ago. Trumps time is over. Don't care Why. He has served his purpose and I hope Voters are smarter for it. Particularly rust belt evangelicals and evangelicals at large. NO ONE took him seriously, and the people who orchestrated his election bit the country on the ass including evangelicals. I think maybe they've got it now. Will our world get better? Maybe, in a very long while. History repeats itself because people become comfortable and complacent. It is exhausting to be on the defensive every day of one's life. Maybe we'll be right again For another 60 years. 💜🙏

Does he go to dog fights often? Seems an odd analogy to pick.
