£82bn of property sales on hold in UK due to Covid-19 lockdown

An analysis of the housing market in UK cities show, ~373,000 property sales are on hold owing to Covid-19 lockdown. Researchers at property portal Zoopla have estimated the value of sales held at £82bn and said the rate of sales falling through peaked on 23 March - i.e day the UK lockdown began. They added, agreed sales were now running at a tenth of the normal prices for this time of the year.
