Steven Mnuchin hits out at LA Lakers for having taken small business loan

Steven Mnuchin, the Treasury Secretary of the United States said that it was ’outrageous’ for the LA Lakers to have taken a small business loan. The Lakers were the second most valuable team of the National Basketball Association, and had a valuation of $4.4 billion.

Whoops! You mean, really? Big businesses are getting money they shouldn't get? No way! I refuse to believe that!

What is outrageous is that Mnunchin and Treasury helped write a bill in which the terms were so poorly written that businesses like the Lakers can qualify. Sure, he can probably embarrass the public high profile cases to give the money back but hundreds of listed companies are taking advantage. If he didn't intend them to do so, then he was incompetent at writing the bill and regulations for the program.
