India dismisses US Commission findings on religious freedom

A US Govt. panel has criticized India for failing to protect religious minorities, calling for sanctions on government officials. The Indian government rejected the annual report from the US Commission on International Religious Freedom calling it a distorted reality. The current government has faced criticism globally for the introduction of a new citizenship law enacted last year.

Of course they would reject it, they're seeing the US as interfering in things it has nothing to do with. Regardless of how correct the panel may be, many governments are just going to ignore them as being busy bodies sticking their noses in.
