At least a dozen Lebanese banks across the country were torched and vandalized during the second consecutive night of angry protests fuelled by frustration over the national currency’s unfettered depreciation.
Banks are limiting withdrawals of people’s money in Lebanon and the currency is deflating in value. Good to keep in mind that while there are lots of benefits to having your money in a bank, it’s not really yours.
