Amazon buying heat-sensing cameras from Chinese firm blacklisted by US

Amazon is reportedly buying heat-sensing cameras to monitor its workers’ temperatures during the pandemic from a firm that has been blacklisted by the US over allegations it helped China detain and monitor Uighurs and other Muslim minorities. China’s Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co Ltd shipped 1,500 cameras to Amazon this month in a deal valued at close to $10 million, Reuters reported.
