Dow surges 532 points on hopes for coronavirus treatment

US stocks rallied Wednesday as the apparent success of an experimental coronavirus treatment from Gilead Sciences boosted Wall Street’s hopes for an end to the crisis. The Dow Jones surged 532.31 points, or 2.2%, to 24,633.86. The S&P 500 gained 2.7% to close at 2,939.51 while the Nasdaq Composite closed 3.6% higher at 8,914.71. Wednesday’s gains put the S&P 500 up more than 13% for the month.

There is a lot of money going to flow into the stock market, while the actual economic output and working capital of business is still not having much output (still 16 million or more out of work as well). This bull market is likely to be brittle and headed for a crash if country is not opened up soon.
