Russian PM Mikhail Mishustin tests positive for coronavirus

Russian PM Mikhail Mishustin told President Vladimir Putin via a video call Thursday that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19 and was temporarily stepping down to recover. Mishustin, 54, suggested that First Deputy PM Andrei Belousov should take his place and Putin agreed. Mishustin was given the role of prime minister in January and has been actively involved in Russia’s handling of the pandemic.
