Hong Kong protests reemerge as Covid-19 outbreak slows

Protesters chanted pro-democracy slogans in a luxury mall Landmark : Atrium in Central Hong Kong on Wed Apr 29. They sang a protest anthem, ’Glory to Hong Kong,’ and held up signs reading ’Free Hong Kong, Revolution Now’ and ’Hong Kong Independence.’ Additional protests are expected in May, and a major march is anticipated on July 1, the day when Britain returned Hong Kong to China in 1997.

Great to hear. Wish we were in a position to support people seeking freedom. Maybe if things come to a head with China then it could happen.

Hong Kong is the freeiest place in the world either by human rights or free trade. There are statistics to proof it. Go there to see it. Don't just sit in your couch and read politically orientated news. Those who support riots deserve to get it in their home country, home city and home town. No one deserve to live in fear of violence by so called freedom fighters who are out to commit crimes.

There are no freedom fighters in HK. Only those seeking money and benefits. Don't be fool by biased news.

All the best to all the young fighters. Hong Kong's democracy must continue to be preserved.

I feel very bad about what is going to happen to these innocent people. However, they had 99 years of time repeal or re-negotiate this lease. They were completely aware of the tyranny that was right on thier doorstep. Why didn't they do anything before this?!
