Armed demonstrators storm Michigan State House over stay-at-home order

Hundreds of gun-toting protesters stormed Michigan’s State House Thursday protesting against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s request to extend emergency powers to combat COVID-19, an appeal Republican lawmakers ignored. The legislature’s decision won’t affect Whitmer’s stay-at-home order, which remains in effect until May 15. However, it could affect her emergency powers that expired on Thursday.

The Terrified legislators wore body armor? That's a bit crazy. Representatives are supposed to do the will of their people. Intelligent handling of the quarantine such as distance and face covers along with stay at home for the most endangered should be fine for a return to work scenario. Then people would not be demonstrating to this degree . Gov. Overreach is dangerous not armed citizen protest. Society breaking down due to economic collapse is the real killer. Imagine the lawlessness that would be the rule if it became "every man for themselves". The purge movies would look tame.
