NASA awards nearly $1B moon lander contracts to SpaceX, Blue Origin and Dynetics

Nasa has selected 3 private space companies to lead the development of lunar landers for its 2024 moon landings programme. Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Alabama-based Dynetics were selected to work on landers under the space agency’s Artemis programme. The firms are set to create lander concepts by 2021 and NASA will then pick one or more winners to begin building the spacecraft.
