Ryanair to cut 3,000 jobs as the coronavirus crisis drags on

Ryanair is planning to shed up to 3,000 jobs - 15% of its workforce - because of the collapse in air travel caused by the pandemic. It said the 3,000 posts under threat were mainly pilot and cabin crew jobs, while the remaining staff face unpaid leave and having their pay slashed by up to 20%. Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary said it will take up to 6 months to refund passengers for flights cancelled.
