Florida lawyer dresses as Grim Reaper to scare off beachgoers

A lawyer and campaigner for public beach access put on a cowl and wielded a scythe to appear as a Grim Reaper on a beach in Florida in an attempt to alert residents to the dangers of reopening their economy too soon. Footage of an interview of the lawyer Daniel Uhlfelder at Miramar Beach went viral. ’This virus is going to get really, really out of control’, he warned if care is not taken.

The Florida figures show a mortality rate of about 0.04%. Most deaths are old people and people with a compromised immune system. How can this be a justification for completely locking down a state and destroying people's livelihoods in the process?

I like how all these doctors and laywers that make six figures are protesting for all the people that make less to stay home.

If he was really concerned he would be at his local Walmart. Not an open air environment with large open spaces between people. How ignorant.

It’s actually a good thing that these people are protesting its an important part of democracy. Most developed nations are paying their citizens their around 75-80% of their monthly salary but in America you get one check of $1200. So, these people have chosen to protest their right to go get infected, infect others and then die so that the shareholders of companies can keep getting their money rather than protest the gluttony of the government? False consciousness in action.

I have this fantasy now of dressing up as a Gestapo storm trooper and yell at people through a megaphone to put on their mask and ask to see their papers if they are not wearing one in public.

Lmao he said .04% because he didn't move the decimal. He means 4%! 35,000/1,300 =.037 = roughly 3.7% mortality. Goofball. Think about it people 1,000 is 1% of 100,000! How could 1,300 out of 35,000 be less than 1% my goodness!
