China mocks US COVID-19 response in animated video

China published a video titled mocking the US response to the COVID-19 using Lego-like figures to represent the countries. The video shows the Statue of Liberty, a figurine representative of US, mocking warnings by a terracotta warrior wearing a face mask, as ’It’s only a flu’. Other statements made by the Statue of Liberty include ’We are always correct, even though we contradict ourselves’.

While the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) may find it necessary to play propaganda within its censored national borders to maintain grip on an unwitting society the same messaging further damages their reputation, justifies the suspicion focussed on them and continues the quest for truth. The truth-digging world community will not stop until so many bricks have been knocked from the Great Wall that it finally crumbles. One is reminded of the fall of the USSR.

What I found most interesting about this is that some people will hear it and believe the false China narrative (because it has elements of truth woven in) and others will see it for the lie it is. The video claims "its a virus!", but ignores the timeline of that disclosure was 2 months after they knew it.

Man if you didn’t hate China before, thank you China for now becoming one of the major political issues for 2020

Meh, the video had ok production value, but was rather pedestrian, especially for propaganda. The funny part is about the lock down part... CCP welded people into their homes, which is far different than telling people to stay home.

Trump deserves every bit of it. The pandemic is only a tiny test of humanity of what lies ahead for the world. Playing blame game is not how the world can solve its issues. I hope all the racists here can grow up and not be a Trump.

China is just playing the same game Trump is. I just hope Trump is able to pay the interest on the loan he has with them soon. This will shut both of them up

Imagine being such a leftist stooge that they would celebrate communist propaganda because it is anti-American. Well, imagine no more, just read some of the comments here.

I find it funny China violates copyright even in the propoganda.

Americans should not be angered at all. With the way the American president berates China on a daily basis, it was a matter of time before the Chinese respond. Americans should not act like they're the only ones that lost life, during this pandemic. On the other hand, Trump is gonna ride that viral video all the way to another 4 year tem.

Trump is the perfect target to call out for what he DOES say, why go after a statue instead?

Mah, this video contains so little of reality. This meant as comedy by the way? Or they are serious?

The problem is the CCP know there is enough anti-Trump sentiment going around that some Americans will take their side rather than seeing it for the absolute garbage they are peddling here.
