’Swastikas and nooses’: governor slams ’racism’ of Michigan lockdown protest

Michigan Gov Whitmer said protests inside the Capitol last week, featuring demonstrators with weapons, swastikas and Confederate flags, depicted some of the ’worst racism and awful parts’ of our history. Last week Trump said that, ’These are very good people,’ to which Biden replied: ’The president should encourage folks to follow Gov’s public health orders — not sow further discord and division.’

What happened in Michigan was despicable. Where were the police? These weren't good people as the president claimed, just like he did in the Charlottesville incident. This president is a racist and supports their agenda. Good people might protest, but they don't do it in the fashion demonstrated by that group in Michigan. Yes, we're all frustrated by this pandemic, but if we don't work together it just continues to grow, kills more people, and will last even longer. If we don't give the virus a host to live on, then chances are we can return to something we once knew as normal. Keep ignoring what the experts are telling us and we're going to suffer the severe consequences.
