Putin awards war medal to Kim Jong-un marking victory over Nazi Germany

Kim Jong-un was not present to receive a commemorative World War II medal from the Russian ambassador in Pyongyong Alexander Matsegora Tuesday. Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the medal to Kim for his role in preserving the memory of Soviet soldiers who died on North Korean territory during World War 2. North Korea’s foreign minister received the medal.

Remember, North Korea was created by the fact that the Soviet Union only managed to take over the northern part of the Korean peninsula before Japan surrendered. Had Japan surrendered a week earlier then North Korea would not exist.

Are you sure they don't mean Soviet soldiers during Korean War. Not to mention, North Korea wasn't even a thing during World War II as they were under Japanese control. Oh there were no Nazis just Imperial Japanese soldiers.
