Trump denies US link to failed raid to oust Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro

Donald Trump denied involvement by the US government in what Venezuelan officials claim is a failed armed incursion in their country that led to the capture of two US ’mercenaries’. The president made the comment after Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro, announced that authorities there had detained two US citizens. Separately, ex Green Beret ’Goudreau’ took responsibility for the raid.

There was a launched coup. That being said it's more than likely on orders of deep state and now trump is covering for them because otherwise they'll try to pin it on him.
