Scientists say more contagious strain of coronavirus is sweeping the globe

A newer mutation named D614G of SARS-COV-2, the virus causing COVID-19, is more contagious than the strains that spread in the early days of the outbreak, according to a new study by scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The study says that the new strain showed up in Europe in early Feb and has now become the most prevalent strain across the world.
