A leading epidemiologist who advised the UK government on its coronavirus response resigned from his government post Tuesday, after a media report said he defied lockdown measures by letting his married lover visit him twice. Neil Ferguson, 51, whose frightening projections of coronavirus deaths precipitated the lockdown in Britain, admitted that he ’made an error of judgement’.
