NY’s subway trains daily sanitization operations begins

The NY subway’s overnight service has been suspended for the first time ever in an order to sanitize the system every 24 hours. This has caused eviction of thousands of homeless people who had taken refuge in the trains. From May 6, all 472 stations are being closed overnight as 500 cleaners in hazmat suits would sanitize the system and decontaminate the subway to contain Covid-19 spread.

It's like the sewers of Rome back in the day. Flush out the filth and clean the station. Or else plague and disease follow.

Wait, they had 1000s of homeless people living in the subway and the service was still running? Even during COVID-19? Why? No wonder they're the epicenter of the disease in the US. I feel for those who have lost, but I can't help but feel like this is simply consequences of not paying attention and allowing things to spiral out of proportion.
