Gap plans to reopen stores where coronavirus lockdowns have eased

Gap Inc. said it plans to reopen up to 800 stores in North America by the end of the month where lockdown curbs have eased. The company said it would open a few stores in Texas this weekend. Gap joins a growing list of retailers — including Macy’s, Nordstrom, Abercrombie & Fitch and Chico’s — that are taking steps to get back to business, albeit with plenty of precautionary measures.
