Social distancing violation tipsters fear retaliation after names posted online

The names of more than 900 people who spoke up about social distancing violations in Missouri have been splashed all over Facebook. This has led to fears that there could be retaliation against such people. Many tipsters are employees who exposed infractions at their places of employment.

Pretty sure the old saying is snitches get stitches is suitable in this case... If your willing to snitch for something this non-essential (unless the people are touching elderly people).... its ridiculous and reminds me of George Orwell... remember comrades citizens are not responsible rational humans but commodities to be manipulated for the pleasure of the dictatorship of the proletariat

They aren't leaked, they are a matter of public records. Anyone can ask for information on crimes has they are reported. Unless you reported a minor your name is on that forevermore.

The List of Snitches should be made public so we know who the traitors are. Remember if you've snitched on your neigbors you're no better than the Germans who snitches on those harbouring the j£ws. In times of Goverment tyrrany we must stand strong with our fellow country men and women.

I wouldn't mind seeing lists like this pop up all over the country. It would definitely make people think twice and ask themselves if they are reporting something that is actually worthy or if they are just being a Karen.

In America we have the right to face our accusers. shame On a government that encourages snitching on your fellow citizens. They trained children to report their own parents in pre ww2 germany. Put the party first and family second.

What assholes though. I wouldn't harm them but if I found out that someone in my neighborhood where reporting people to the police for such minor thing... I am never doing a thing for that person and I am never trusting them with anything.

There were a few legit cases where employees reported companies that were in gross violation. That being said, most of them are Karens and they deserve all the emotional distress and retaliation that they didn’t think twice about doing to others. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you or deal with the consequences.

Imagine finding out your dad stniched on your 30th bday party. Or having the balls to snitch on your own wedding venue. Or finding out your neighbor called the cops on your small backyard wedding. Maybe if your afraid of someone finding out you did this don’t do it

I would think this is pretty funny except for the fact that employees reporting unsafe work conditions are lumped in there with Mrs Kravitz spying on neighbors standing too close together at the back fence. Work related items should be handled differently IMHO.

to all those attacking tipsters, do you want fingernails in your tacos? because that's how you get fingernails in your tacos. violating health and safety guidelines needs to be reported. the tipsters are not the ones responsible for the actions of the violators. they are not responsible for the consequences of actions taken by businesses. you are all sick twisted semi humans who put profit before life.

Ppl need to STFU and mind their own business unless it's some punks throwing an outlandish party. Me and my buddies 4 to 8 of us get together once a week and have a BBQ, fire and drink all day and night. The good thing it isn't necessarily a weekend day.

Thank goodness for whistleblowers. If someone broke my window or slashed my tires, I’d want someone to say something. While I wouldn’t like to be snitched on, I would want someone to snitch on someone committing an infraction that negatively impacted me. We can’t always have it ways.

Regardless of how I feel about this, it's interesting to think that our outlook on snitches could prevent any Soviet era secret police from being a thing. Idk just a non relevant thought.
