Apple will let you automatically share your Medical ID info with 1st responders

The next version of Apple’s iOS software will soon be able to share your medical history with first responders automatically (if you opt to let it do so). The feature called ’Share Medical ID During Emergency Calls,’ will roll out to consumers in the coming weeks. It also includes emergency contact information that lets medical professionals reach your loved ones.

Not sketchy at all. It's not a distrust of first responders. The distrust is of their bosses, which are usually corporations the have bought out hospitals. They, and Apple, can share your medical info with insurance companies to potentially deny services.
